The Seattle Seahawks added a couple of new players to their defensive line, including Dre’Mont Jones and former Hawk Jarran Reed, but have yet to sign one of their own biggest contributors as of late, defensive tackle Poona Ford.
CBS Sports has Ford ranked as the best free-agent defensive tackle still available after the first week of the new league year.
“Surprising Ford is still on the market as the second wave of free agency approaches,” writes Jeff Kerr. “The 27-year-old has 83 quarterback pressures across the last three seasons, since 2020, the most on the Seattle Seahawks in that span. Any team who could use a solid rotational piece along the interior of the defensive line should give him a call. ”
Ford may not be available that much longer if the reports of Buffalo’s interest ring true. More on that story can be found here.
