The University of Georgia has become somewhat of a farm system for the NFL over the last few seasons. Even the Atlanta Falcons recently selected two Bulldogs — tight end John FitzPatrick and guard Justin Shaffer — in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL draft.
The Falcons hold the No. 8 overall pick in 2023, and since most expect there to be an early run on quarterbacks in the top five, there’s a chance that Georgia’s Jalen Carter will be available when the team is on the clock.
In 2022, Carter led the Bulldogs to a second straight National Championship victory. A dominant presence on the defensive interior, Carter racked up 24 hurries, five QB hits and three sacks while earning a Pro Football Focus grade of 92.3 last season.
We asked our readers whether or not Atlanta should draft Carter if he’s available at pick No. 8 and they gave a very clear answer. Check out the full results of our latest Falcons fan poll below!
