Player grades: Mikal Bridges scores 38 as Nets beat Celtics 115-105

Here are your Nets player grades for Friday’s 115-105 win over the Boston Celtics.

The Brooklyn Nets took a trip to TD Garden on Friday to face the Boston Celtics for the fourth and final time this season and won 115-105. Despite the loss, Boston wins the regular-season series 3-1.

For the Nets, Mikal Bridges had 38 points and 10 rebounds while Cam Johnson had 20 points and three assists. Dorian Finney-Smith had 17 points and Royce O’Neale had 10 points.

For the Celtics, Jaylen Brown had 35 points and five rebounds while Jayson Tatum had 22 points and 13 rebounds. Derrick White had 16 points off the bench and Marcus Smart had 13 points.

In the first half, it was quite the example of how the tables have turned. Boston won the first quarter 37-15 thanks to Brooklyn being unable to do anything on either end of the floor as well as Cameron Johnson dealing with foul trouble through the half. The Nets won the second quarter 40-27 thanks to Brooklyn turning up its defensive intensity as well as the Celtics coming down to earth with its shooting.

In the second half, Brooklyn continued its dominance by winning the third quarter 34-20. It was more of the same as the Nets continued its improved play while Boston faltered especially with Robert Williams leaving in the third quarter with hamstring tightness. The Celtics were unable to get back on track after leading 51-23 in the second quarter and the Nets finished the comeback with a 38-point swing.
