Our friends over at Draft Wire have a new one-round mock draft out and with all the uncertainty around the Pittsburgh Steelers future roster, we had to see what direction the Steelers are going. Pittsburgh is going to need help at multiple spots but this time around, Draft Wire decided local hero, quarterback Kenny Pickett was the move for the Steelers.

Here’s what they had to say about the pick:

This one just feels too right. The Steelers desperately need a new franchise quarterback, and there’s a stud in their own backyard. This “super senior” has made the most of his extra year of eligibility, and would be the perfect fit.

Given how the first round unfolded here, Pickett makes the most sense. I continue to hold out hope that Liberty’s Malik Willis but he’s struggled so much this season, Pickett has to be more enticing as a prospect. Not to mention he is a guy Steelers fans know Pickett and love him.
