After sitting on Tuesday due to a neck injury, Detroit Pistons rookie Jalen Duren appears set to return to the court Friday on the road against the Toronto Raptors.

Duren suffered the injury on Sunday in a loss to the Miami Heat when his chin appeared to make contact with Kevin Love’s head. Pistons coach Dwane Casey said Duren was a bit woozy afterward and the 13th pick was held out of action with a “cervical; whiplash” designation.

The Pistons removed him from their injury report on Friday, so Duren appears cleared to return to action as they wrap up a two-game road trip north of the border.

Duren is averaging 8.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists on 63.4% shooting from the field in 58 games this season. He leads the rookie class in rebounding average and is fourth among all players in offensive rebounds (3.4).
