Despite a career-scoring night from guard Jordan Davis, the Wisconsin Badgers were not able to complete the second-half comeback in their 66-63 loss to the Northwestern Wildcats on the road.
Wisconsin struggled to score throughout the game, and missed star defender Max Klesmit, who did not play after taking an elbow to the face against Penn State. Although Klesmit may not be one of the Badgers’ leading scorers, his lockdown defense could have helped contain Wildcats’ guards Boo Buie and Chase Audige that combined for 36 points.
Wisconsin guard Jordan Davis led the Badgers in scoring with a career-high 15 points after struggling to find his rhythm so far this season. Three other starters finished in double-digits for Wisconsin but only received seven total points from their bench.
The Badgers will continue their short road trip on Wednesday night with a rematch against the Maryland Terrapins.
