No. 2 seed Tennessee (40-19) defeated No. 1 Clemson (44-18), 6-5, in 14 innings on Saturday in the NCAA Tournament at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina.
The contest took place in the Clemson Regional winners’ bracket.
Tennessee defeated No. 3 Charlotte, 8-1, Friday. The Tigers were victorious versus No. 4 Lipscomb, 12-5.
Charlotte eliminated Lipscomb, 9-2, on Saturday in a losers’ bracket game.
Tennessee will next play the winner between Clemson and Charlotte on Sunday. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. EDT.
