The Washington Commanders dropped their third straight game in Sunday’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Now 1-3, the Commanders are two games behind second place in the NFC East. The Eagles remain undefeated at 4-0, while the Giants and Cowboys both sit at 3-1.
It was a familiar pattern for the Commanders in Sunday’s defeat. The passing game struggled, quarterback Carson Wentz was at fault for some of it, but certainly not most of it, and the defense played respectable again but continued to allow the explosive plays. In the end, it counts as another loss as Washington is headed for another disastrous season, and the calendar just turned to October.
There were some bright spots in the loss. The running game was outstanding, and Washington’s defense held the Cowboys to only 62 rushing yards. And the Commanders’ ground game could receive another boost this week if rookie Brian Robinson Jr. is activated.
Now, let’s take a look at some of the top images from Sunday’s game.
