March Madness is off to a fiery start, with 86.2% of brackets already busted from BYU’s shocking loss to Duquesne. Thankfully for Tar Heel fans, UNC took care of business despite a tougher-than-expected fight from Wagner.
It was a slow start, but quickly turned around to the blowout with big games by Armando Bacot and Jae’Lyn Withers. Bacot kept up his recent play, dominating on offense and defense to finish with 20 points and 15 rebounds.
It was a spectacular outing from Withers off the bench, who finished with a season-high 16 points and added in 10 rebounds. The outing was ideal for the transfer, who will be counted on heavily throughout the tournament.
Next up for the Tar Heels is a meeting against Michigan State, who was a handful for Mississippi State beating the bulldogs 69-51. Before, we get too ahead of ourselves, we take a look at the best photos from UNC’s win over Wagner.
