No. 1 national seed Tennessee (53-11) will open play in the NCAA Tournament Knoxville Super Regional on Friday.
The Vols will host Evansville (38-24) in a best-of-three series. The winner between Tennessee and the Purple Aces will advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
Game No. 1 is slated for Friday at 3 p.m. EDT at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The second contest is scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. EDT, while an if necessary game No. 3 is slated for Sunday at 6 p.m. EDT.
