PHOTOS: Nick Saban introduced as Alabama Football HC in 2007

Where were you when Nick Saban became the head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide?

On Jan. 4, 2007, Nick Saban returned to college football after a brief stint in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins.

Despite vehemently opposing being involved in the Crimson Tide’s search for a new head coach, Saban ultimately had to break the news to Dolphins fans that he was, in fact, taking the Alabama job.

The Dolphins have had eight head coaches since Saban left, which is the same number of SEC championships Alabama has won in Saban’s tenure as the Crimson Tide head coach.

Along with the eight SEC titles, Saban has won six national championships with the Tide and 10 Bowl Game wins.

Here are some iconic pictures from the first day Alabama football fans could call Nick Saban their head coach.
