Former Florida Gators quarterback [autotag]Kyle Trask[/autotag], now in his third season with the Tampa Bay Buccanneers after backing up future Hall of Famer Tom Brady in his first two years, has his eyes on the starting role under center this preseason, but the competition from Baker Mayfield has been thick.
In fact, it is pretty unlikely that the former Gators gunslinger will earn the opening nod but it is not for lack of performance on the field.
On Saturday, Trask played most of the game as the signal-caller, going 20-for-28 through the air for 218 yards and a touchdown in the winning effort against the New York Jets. He gets one more shot to prove himself against the Baltimore Ravens, but he showcased some elusiveness and some good decision-making.
Take a look below at some highlights from Trask’s standout performance in preseason action this past weekend.
