Take a look at some highlights from Friday night’s brutal loss.

Florida baseball got off to a rough start to its weekend series at home inside Condron Family Ballpark on Friday against the visiting Auburn Tigers, who spanked Gators’ ace starter [autotag]Brandon Sproat[/autotag] en route to a 10-1 shellacking of the home team to open the three-game set.

The visitors put up a pair of runs in the first inning before opening the floodgates in the second with six more runs, giving way to Florida’s relief corps early on. Unfortunately, the damage was already done but the silver lining was that the bullpen — which has been quite an Achilles heel for the Gators this season — actually kept things from spiraling further out of control.

Florida’s only run came in the fourth inning on an infield RBI single by BT Riopelle, pushing Michael Robertson across home plate.
