The Houston Texans‘ fourth-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft [autotag]Dameon Pierce [/autotag]is one of the most talked-about players taken in the lower rounds heading into the season. The former Florida Gator was criminally underused while in Gainesville but it looks like he is set to get his of reps at the professional level.
He carried the ball five times for 49 yards against the New Orleans Saints on Saturday, including an incredible 20-yard burst up the middle of the defense, to help his team prevail in a 17-13 win. His quarterback Davis Mills had some encouraging words after the game while his coach Lovie Smith felt like they achieved their goals based on the performance he saw.
