The Georgia Bulldogs turned it around after getting off to a sluggish start against the South Carolina Gamecocks. South Carolina outscored Georgia 14-3 in the first half. The Bulldogs failed to capitalize on a few red zone opportunities in the first half.
However, Georgia bounced back in the second half. The Dawgs outscored South Carolina 21-0 after the break. Georgia disrupted Spencer Rattler more in the second half. Rattler completed just 25% of his passes in the second half.
The Dawgs forced two turnovers. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck avoided turnovers, but did not play a great game. He finished with 269 passing yards with no touchdown passes and no interceptions.
Georgia running back Daijun Edwards had a huge game. He ran for 118 rushing yards on 20 carries and had a rushing touchdown.
Georgia overcame some adversity in its first SEC game of the season, but the Bulldogs will need to be sharper in order to make the College Football Playoff.
