Penn State men’s basketball closed out the 2023 portion of its regular season with a home win over Rider on Friday afternoon. In a game that saw Ace Baldwin Jr. score his 1,000th career point, it was once again Kanye Clary leading the way in the scoring column with a career-high 29 points. Clary and Baldwin helped Penn State cruise to a 90-63 victory over Rider in the Bryce Jordan Center.
Penn State got off to a sluggish start but pulled away early with some big runs on the court en route to a 26-6 lead with six minutes to go until halftime. Penn State went into the break up 44-24. A three-pointer by Zach Hicks helped silence any brief hope Rider had coming out of halftime and the Nittany Lions eased their way to a lopsided win at home to close out its nonconference portion of the schedule.
Penn State is now 7-1 at home this season and will play the rest of its season in Big Ten play. That will begin with a road trip tp Michigan State on Jan. 4. here are some of the best photos from Penn State’s win over Rider.
