The Oklahoma City Thunder avoided falling in a trap game with a 134-91 blowout win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday.
The Thunder enjoyed a stress-free second half as they built a 33-point halftime lead. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 28 points in 23 minutes. Chet Holmgren had 16 points and six rebounds.
OKC had a season-best 22-of-36 (61.1%) shooting night from 3 and all 15 available players seeing time on the court.
Meanwhile, the lowly Trail Blazers were without several key players headlined by Scoot Henderson’s absence. Portland’s leading scorer was Jerami Grant with 14 points on 4-of-12 shooting.
