The Oklahoma City Thunder avoided two consecutive bad losses thanks to Jalen Williams’ putback game-winner against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday in a 107-106 win.
Williams finished with 27 points on 11-of-19 shooting; an excellent performance considering Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was out. Off the bench, Aaron Wiggins contributed 19 points.
Lu Dort added 20 points in the important win.
The Pistons, who were without several key players, were led by rookie guard Jaden Ivey, who finished with 24 points and nine assists before fouling out in the fourth quarter.
