Arkansas and Liberty are rocking and rolling from Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium on Saturday afternoon at homecoming for the Razorbacks.
The Flames, an Independent, are the No. 23 team in the country. Arkansas is picking up votes in both major polls, but are outside of the Top 25. Still, it’s the Hogs who were the favorites in Las Vegas by about two touchdowns, give or take, all week.
A win makes Arkansas bowl eligible for a third straight season. The Razorbacks beat Penn State in the Outback Bowl last year, though their bowl game against TCU in 2020 was cancelled because of COVID-19.
Liberty coach Hugh Freeze may be coaching for a promotion. He’s been linked to the open Auburn job. The Tigers fired coach Bryan Harsin two days after Arkansas beat them last week.
