When it comes to baseball, sometimes the teams with the most success get hot at the right time.
That seems to be the case for Alabama, as they have won four games in a row, including their first two games in the SEC Tournament.
Tuesday, the Tide defeated Georgia by scoring early and fighting off a late comeback attempt by the Bulldogs. Wednesday, Alabama defeated Arkansas in a similar fashion.
Through three innings of Wednesday’s game with the Razorbacks, Alabama scored four runs, with two by way of Arkansas errors to jump out to a 4-1 lead. Arkansas’ Chris Lanzilli hit a two-run homer in the 6th inning to cut the lead to 4-3, but the Tide bullpen shut down Arkansas over the final three innings to grab the win.
Due to rain shuffling the SEC Tournament schedule, Alabama’s next game and opponent have yet to be determined as of posting. Until then, take a look at the best images of the Arkansas game from Jake Crandall of the Montgomery Advertiser.
