Phoenix’s Devin Booker named cover athlete for NBA 2K23

The makers of NBA 2K23 officially announced that Phoenix Suns All-Star Devin Booker will be the next cover athlete for the franchise’s beloved game. Pre-orders are available now ahead of the game’s official launch in early September. Booker joins Michael Jordan, Diana Taurasi, and Sue Bird for a fleet of special editions of NBA 2K23.

Devin Booker was just named to the 2021-2022 All-NBA First Team, and is easily one of the Association’s brightest stars. Phoenix clearly loves their dynamic guard – the team just inked Booker to a four-year, $224 million contract extension. Becoming the face of the most popular NBA video game is icing on the cake.

“It’s a dream come true to see myself on the cover of NBA 2K,” said Booker.

“I’ve been a huge NBA 2K fan since I was a kid, and it’s surreal to finally join the exclusive club of basketball greats who’ve been cover athletes. I’m also honored to share this year’s covers with the iconic Michael Jordan, who changed the game for all players who came after him, as well as two of the all-time WNBA GOAT’s, Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird, who continue to make a huge impact on the game.”

This latest edition of NBA 2K  comes with several distinct versions of the game. This includes a Standard Edition as well as a cross-generational Digital Deluxe Edition

Dedicated fans can also check out the Michael Jordan Edition, as well as the all-new exclusive Championship Edition, which the makers of the game announced will come with a 12-month subscription to NBA League Pass. Similarly, the WNBA Edition of the game comes with special bonus content and perks.
