The Memphis Grizzlies (13-12) host the Phoenix Suns (18-10) Saturday at the FedExForum for an 8 p.m. ET tip-off. Below, we analyze the Suns-Grizzlies NBA odds and lines, with picks and predictions.
Phoenix has been one of the best teams in the Association this month, going 8-2 overall and ATS. The Suns are fifth in net rating and second in effective field goal shooting in February.
The Grizzlies started February with a 1-4 record but are playing better and getting healthier. Memphis has won back-to-back games and four of its last six games (4-2 ATS).
The Suns lost at the Grizzlies earlier this season 108-104 as 5.5-point road favorites. In fact, Memphis has won and covered against Phoenix in the last four meetings. Both squads won and covered last night—the Suns beat the New Orleans Pelicans, and the Grizzlies took down the Detroit Pistons.

Money line (ML)
PASS with a lean on the Suns (-165) mostly because I’d rather not bet an NBA regular-season money line favorite this expensive, but I don’t hate betting Phoenix outright given your bankroll or including this in a parlay.

Against the spread (ATS)
This is a great spot for the SUNS -3.5 (-115) for a few reasons.
First, Memphis is either first or second in all four of the “miscellaneous” statistics (points in the paint, fast break points, points off of turnovers and second-chance points per game). However, Phoenix is top-10 in three of those categories (22nd in opponent’s fast break points per games).
Second, this month Phoenix has the sixth-highest net rating in clutch situations with a 4-1 record and Memphis has the worst clutch net rating in February.
Finally, the Suns have been great this season in the second game of a back-to-back: Phoenix is 6-1 ATS with a plus-7.4-point spread differential with no rest. Memphis is 3-1 ATS but has a minus-1.8-point spread differential.
BET SUNS -3.5 (-110) for 1 unit.
Over/Under (O/U)
Slight lean on Under 225.5 (-110) but officially I’ll PASS ON THE TOTAL. The Suns play at the second-slowest pace in the NBA, and you know Chris Paul wants to grind this game down with Phoenix’s halfcourt offense. Also, the previous five Suns-Grizzlies games have gone Under the total.
But, my handicap isn’t strong enough to wager on the total.
