Philadelphia 76ers star big man Joel Embiid is currently doubtful to play in the Boston Celtics’ 2023 Eastern Conference Semifinals series with the 76ers in Game 1 of the second-round series after suffering an LCL injury in Game 3 vs. the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the NBA Playoffs.
With a total of 11 days between series evidently not being enough for Embiid to recover, the Cameroonian center will likely need further rest. Embiid didn’t practice at all over that span of downtime and he’ll likely at least miss Game 1 of the highly-anticipated series between the Atlantic Division rivals.
To learn more about this unfolding situation, take a look at the clip embedded below featuring CLNS Media’s Bobby Manning sharing where the 76ers go without him and how this could make the Celtics fall asleep early in the series.
