The Eagles are always looking to develop talent and on Monday, Philadelphia signed former Alabama Crimson Tide offensive lineman, Ross Pierschbacher, from the Washington Football Teams practice squad.
Pierschbacher was selected by Washington in the fifth round (153rd overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Pierschbacher was waived by Washington and signed to the practice squad the next day back in September and was elevated to the active roster on November 7 for the team’s Week 9 game against the New York Giants, and reverted back to the practice squad after the game.
Pierschbacher originally committed to Iowa, before enrolling at Alabama with Jalen Hurts, where he made 57 career starts at guard and center.
He was named an All-SEC player in his last three seasons.
