In a move that should allow for a longer training camp, while keeping all 32 NFL teams safe, the league will reportedly reduce the preseason schedule to just two games.
The league will reportedly eliminate the first and final week (4) of the preseason schedule according to ESPN.com, via Pro Football Talk.
Week One and Week Four will be the preseason weeks that are scrapped, per source.

Each team will reportedly receive one home and one away preseason game.

The Eagles were scheduled to open the preseason on Aug. 13 in Indianapolis, with the first home preseason game scheduled for Aug. 27 against the Patriots.
The regular-season home opener is Sept. 20 against the Rams.
