Carson Wentz takes some unnecessary hits at times as the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles but the one thing you can’t do is blame his injuries on the offensive line.
The Birds have the top offensive line in all of football and one reason is Jeff Stoutland’s emphasis on both run and pass blocking.
With three of the top-10 offensive linemen in football, it’s easy to see why Pro Football Focus ranked the Birds No. 3 on the list of top pass-blocking groups.

Jason Peters has moved on for now, but second-year left tackle Andre Dillard seems primed to step up and fill the void.
Brandon Brooks was beaten for just one sack all season and had an overall grade of 92.9 from Pro Football Focus. Brooks’s absence from the Wild Card game against Seattle is a major reason they lost.
At right tackle, Lane Johnson played in just 12 games surrendering just one sack and had a run-blocking grade of 92.6.
Kelce was the only member of the line to play 100% of the team’s snaps on offense, including in their lone playoff game.
The left guard might be the Eagles’ only weakness, and Isaac Seumalo was solid in 2019, as he played all but one snap over the season and finished the year with a PFF grade above 70.0 including the playoffs. Seumalo surrendered five sacks, but four of them came in two games against elite pass rushers.
