Philadelphia waxed the Sacramento Kings 129-105 Saturday as a 4-point home favorite without both All-Star C Joel Embiid and PG Ben Simmons. The Sixers are on fire lately, winning seven of their last eight games and going 7-1 against the spread, including a 99-96 victory over the Knicks Tuesday.
New York is just 2-3 straight up since returning from the All-Star break but those three losses were against the top-3 teams in the Eastern Conference and the Knicks are 3-2 ATS in their last five games.
Philly won the first two games against New York earlier this season, however, the Knicks have covered the spread in four of their last six games against the Sixers.

Philadelphia has beaten New York in 14 consecutive meetings and Embiid and Simmons have never lost to the Knicks. Fortunately for New York, Embiid will not be on the floor and Simmons’ game status is in question.
If Simmons cannot play, it would be a relief considering the Knicks are sixth in the Eastern Conference and are trying to end their eight-year playoff drought.
Furthermore, the previous 76ers-Knicks game was the day after New York played a tightly contested, high-intensity game with the Brooklyn Nets that was decided on the final possession.
Also, the Knicks are 8-3 overall and have a plus-3.3 margin of victory with the third-highest cover rate in games where they have a rest advantage this season.
