The Chicago Bulls (3-3) welcome the Philadelphia 76ers (2-4) to the United Center Saturday. Tip is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the 76ers vs. Bulls odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.
The Bulls are coming into this battle having lost to the Spurs 129-124 on the road Friday. They have won 2 straight games at home, defeating the Pacers and Celtics.
Chicago is led by F DeMar DeRozan, who is averaging 26.2 points per game and shooting 52.4% from the field. The return of G Zach LaVine has been paramount to its success as he is shooting 57.9% from deep.
The 76ers are still trying to rebound following their 0-3 start to the season, losing against the Celtics, Bucks and Spurs. They have since beaten the Pacers and Raptors, also dropping one to Toronto.
MVP candidate C Joel Embiid leads the team, averaging 27.6 points per game and shooting 52.1% from the field. The team’s starting backcourt, G James Harden and G Tyrese Maxey, average 46.7 combined. Embiid missed the Friday game with a knee ailment, and his status for Saturday is unknown. Maxey scored a career-high 44 points in his absence.

76ers at Bulls picks and predictions
Prediction
Bulls 112, 76ers 108
Moneyline
BET BULLS (+105).
The 76ers and Bulls sit 13th and 14th in net rating this season. What is concerning about Philadelphia is that it is awful at rebounding, ranking last in offensive rebounding rate and 21st in defensive rebounding rate.
The 76ers don’t turn the ball much and sit 4th in effective field goal rate. They don’t get many extra opportunities, and as the season goes on, that should hurt their chance to win consistently.
Philadelphia is 31-37-1 against the spread (ATS) as a favorite since the start of 2021. Considering the small spread, that’s more telling than their straight-up record.
Given the Bulls returning G Alex Caruso and having the size in LaVine and DeRozan to defend the likes of Harden and F Tobias Harris, I would back Chicago here.
Against the spread
PASS.
Crazy enough, the Bulls only lost 2 games by 1 or 2 last season. Play the better moneyline odds with that in mind.
Over/Under
LEAN UNDER 220.5 (-110).
Both of these teams play isolation-heavy basketball, which can produce sporadic results.
Also, neither team is a strong offensive rebounding side, and the 76ers rank last in pace as the Embiid-led team doesn’t want to get into a track meet within these games.
Combine all that, and the UNDER 220.5 (-110) is the better side of the total.
