23. New Orleans Saints – DeVonta Smith, WR
DeVonta Smith is a name that likely could have gone in the second round of the 2020 NFL draft, but he decided to stay for his senior season, a move that has likely paid off. Drew Brees is in his later years and Alvin Kamara alone is not goig to be able to lead the team to the playoffs. Spooner believes that setting u the next quarterback for success will help the franchise out in the long run.
19. Philadelphia Eagles – Jaylen Waddle, WR
Jaylen Waddle will miss the remainder of the 2020 college football season after breaking his ankle while returning the game-opening kickoff against Tennessee. However, that likely won’t hurt him as far as his potential draft position. Waddle caught Jalen Hurts’ final pass in an Alabama uniform in 2018, so it seems fitting that the two could be reunited by the Eagles.
