PFF names Anthony Harris as underrated free agent heading into offseason

Over the last two seasons, very few players defensively have been better than Vikings safety Anthony Harris.

Over the last two seasons, very few players defensively have been better than Vikings safety Anthony Harris.

In both 2018 and 2019, Harris has finished as a Pro Football Focus top-three safety in the entire league.

Even so, you probably haven’t heard his name enough with free agency right around the corner.

The folks over at PFF have Harris as the most-underrated safety hitting free agency.

Here’s what Sam Monson wrote about Harris:

He was finally rewarded with a chance to start all season last year, and he finished with the best PFF coverage grade (91.6) among all safeties. He tallied six interceptions and five pass breakups in the regular season before picking off Drew Brees in the postseason.

It’s feeling incredibly unlikely the Vikings bring Harris back. Harris is going to cash in, as he should. This is probably his only shot as free agency considering he’s already 28 years old.

We’ll see if we feel he is underrated after we see his next contract.
