Pro Football Focus believes the Rams should focus on defense first in the draft this year

As it currently stands, the Los Angeles Rams’ roster looks like one that should be enough to make the playoffs. It’s probably even good enough to contend for a second straight Super Bowl win.

But there are still moves to be made, both in free agency and the draft. If the Rams don’t make any other additions before the draft, cornerback and edge rusher are likely to be their top two priorities.

Pro Football Focus named the best-case scenario for each team without a first-round pick and for the Rams, the goal is to add one or two defensive players who can “provide an impact as part of a rotation.”

PFF suggested three players to watch for the Rams at No. 104 overall in the third round: Western Kentucky OLB DeAngelo Malone, Cincinnati CB Coby Bryant and Nebraska CB Cam Taylor-Britt.

It would be fitting for Bryant to land with a team in Los Angeles, and he’s a talented player, to boot. He’s 6-foot-1 and has 4.54 speed, fitting well in a zone defense where he can keep his eyes forward.

Don’t be surprised if he’s the Rams’ pick in the third round.
