A win or loss for the Buffalo Bills in Week 11 against the New York Jets will have a huge say in whether or not the team makes the upcoming postseason, according to Pro Football Focus.
The football analytics outlet ran the numbers (as they often do). If the Bills (5-5) manage to right their wrong against the Jets (4-5) from their Week 1 overtime loss, their chances of making the playoffs drastically improve to near 50 percent.
On the flip side, another loss would be crushing.
A big reason for that is Buffalo’s record in the conference. Following the Bills’ 24-22 loss to the Denver Broncos last week, the Bills have a 2-5 mark against AFC opponents–which is a huge tiebreaker in terms of seeding. That defeat also sent Buffalo down to 10th place in the conference.
That has to improve and fast.
