The Buffalo Bills offensive line has been a mixed bag early in 2022. The team is hoping that the group can start to gel a little better moving forward which could create some better results.
During his weekly press conference on Wednesday, Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott even said the group is not where it needs to be “just yet.”
Pro Football Focus certainly thinks there is room for improvement as well.
The football analytics outlet’s offensive line grades after the first quarter of the season don’t look great for the unit in Buffalo.
Overall, the Bills land at the No. 24 spot. PFF is particularly hard on Rodger Saffold, as the guard has the group’s lowest grade this year.

Buffalo’s line should be upgraded with the return of Mitch Morse at center, but he struggled against Baltimore’s behemoth defensive linemen, earning PFF grades of 56.4 or lower in each facet of play.

The Bills actually rank just above average in yards before contact per rush, but only Dion Dawkins has an above-average PFF grade overall.
