PFF: Bills’ Josh Allen gets the job done while under pressure

PFF: #Bills’ Josh Allen gets the job done while under pressure:

Throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is actually a bad idea.

Allen has been very successful over the past two seasons. They’ve been considered his “breakout” years in the NFL.

During those, Allen has proven his ability to take on the pressure thrown at him from opposing defenses according to Pro Football Focus.

Per the football analytics outlet, Allen has throw 30 touchdown passes over the last two seasons while under pressure.

That’s the most in the entire NFL during that span:

As a dual-threat quarterback, Allen makes keeping opposing defenses on their heels look easy. That’s what really helps him in these scenarios.

When under pressure, Allen has an excellent ability to weave his way around defenders coming at him.

Early in his career, Allen would almost always take off and run with the ball in such scenarios. He still does that, but now he has a fantastic ability to throw the ball to open receivers down the field to go along with that.

Allen is a tough matchup for almost any NFL defense because of this.
