Fans can’t attend NBA games in person because of the COVID-19 pandemic but they can attend virtually, as former Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning did for the Nuggets-Jazz game on Sunday evening.
Manning, a future Pro Football Hall of Famer, clearly has an appreciation for basketball. NBA players clearly appreciate him, too.
Last month, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James showed off his best Manning impersonation during a practice session. James’ impersonation featured an “Omaha” audible at the line of scrimmage before the snap.
Manning attended a Denver game and spoke with quarterback Drew Lock in March and he delivered a tribute to the late Kobe Bryant at the NFL Honors earlier this year. Though he’s been retired for five years, Manning still has a strong arm and he has shown off his throw at Nuggets games in the past.
Unfortunately, Denver lost Sunday’s game 129-127 and now trail Utah 3-1 in the series. The Nuggets will look to bounce back on Tuesday evening.
