Peyton Manning is high on LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier entering 2024 season

Peyton Manning was asked what he thought about LSU’s new signal caller. Here’s what he had to say.

Recently LSU starting quarterback [autotag]Garrett Nussmeier[/autotag] participated in the [autotag]Manning Passing Academy[/autotag] at Nicholls State University and he finished as one of the top 10 players at the academy.

The camp is hosted by former NFL quarterbacks Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning. Archie and Eli were legends at Ole Miss while Peyton was the contrarian and he was a legend on Rocky Top for Tennessee.

All three were successful quarterbacks in the NFL and Peyton and Eli even went on to combine for four total Super Bowl wins. During the camp, Peyton was asked what he thought about LSU’s new signal caller. Here’s what he had to say.

“I like Garrett. I’ve known his dad for years, we were old teammates and proud of Garrett,” Manning said, per 247Sports. “I’ve kept up with him throughout his high school and college career. What a great bowl game he had, been patient, waited his turn and turned that game and took advantage of it,” Manning said. “I see him having a really good season. He’s a great kid and I’ve really enjoyed keeping up with his career.”

Nussmeier has a chance to put up incredible numbers for the Tigers this fall and he has the talent to lead LSU to the College Football Playoff.
