The ManningCast hadn’t even started yet before Peyton Manning began throwing out the shade.
Peyton and Eli Manning were talking with ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt about how the Seattle Seahawks hadn’t publicly listed a starter ahead of Monday night’s home game against the Philadelphia Eagles because of Geno Smith’s injury status.
Manning threw ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter under the bus about him not knowing whether Smith or Drew Lock would be Seattle’s starting quarterback. He also took a very playful jab at Schefter’s ego in even admitting that he didn’t know who the starting quarterback would be.
He also got in a short joke at comedian Kevin Hart after he backed out of making another ManningCast appearance to discuss his Eagles.
Ouch, Peyton!

It’s clear that Peyton Manning is in late-season form, just throwing out whatever friendly barbs he can think of while on air.
If this is how the last few ManningCasts are going to go, we’re in for a treat.
