The 2021 PGA Championship is taking place May 20-23 at Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s Ocean Course in Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
Knoxville resident Peter Malnati is part of the field.
Malnati will tee off at 9:01 a.m. EDT on Thursday from hole No. 1. He is paired with Brad Marek and Lanto Griffin.
Malnati resides in Knoxville and played collegiately at Missouri from 2007-10.
He joined the PGA Tour in 2014 and has one career victory, winning the 2016 Sanderson Farms Championship.
Malnati has finished in the top-25 26 times, has seven top-10 finishes and has one second-place result. He has participated in 175 career PGA Tour events, while making the cut 85 times.
