In his latest production of the seminal Football Morning in America column at NBC Sports, Peter King stuffs some more fodder into the Ezra Cleveland-to-Cleveland cannon. It’s almost becoming canon that the Browns have taken a major shine to the Boise State offensive tackle.
King goes through each NFL team and offers some insider insight, often anonymous tips about what the teams might be thinking at their respective picks. For the Browns at No. 10, it’s abundantly clear: King and his sources are convinced it’s going to be an offensive tackle.
But King concludes the section on the Browns with this thought,
I mean, how does Berry not take one of the four hot-prospect tackles right here? “I agree,” one Browns-watcher on another team said Saturday. “But they love that Boise tackle, and maybe they think they can get him in the second round.” What an apt pick: With the 41st overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Browns select Ezra Cleveland, tackle, Boise State.
There is no mention of any alternative scenario at No. 10 if the Browns wait it out and believe they can land Cleveland with their second pick.
