Pete Nance inks NIL deal with Oreo

UNC basketball forward Pete Nance has a new NIL deal with Oreo as the season winds down.

The North Carolina Tar Heels are likely not going to the NCAA Tournament as we are just a day away from Selection Sunday. Whether the team accepts the NIT bid is uncertain.

While there were many downs this season, a few fun moments existed. One was the team rallying behind an Oreo flavor graduate transfer Pete Nance loved. After the game against Virginia at home in February, a win for the Tar Heels, Hubert Davis revealed that Pete Nance’s favorite cookie was Lemon Oreos. Nance scored 22 points in the win, and Davis’ pregame gift of the Oreos was a hit.

Now, Nance is turning that into a name, image and likeness deal. It was announced on Friday that he had signed a deal with Oreo:

In his lone season at North Carolina, Nance is averaging 10 points and 6.2 rebounds per game while shooting 42.2%. He struggled for the most part but started to play better as the season went on.
