After snapping a three-game losing streak with a win at Maryland in Week 10, Penn State is returning home to Beaver Stadium for a big matchup with Michigan. And the Nittany Lions are looking forward to some home-field advantage against the top 10 Wolverines.
According to the opening line from Tipico, Penn State is a half-point favorite at home in Week 11 against Michigan, with the Wolverines heading to Happy Valley with a top 10 ranking in each of the major polls, the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25. The game is as close to a toss-up as they can come, and it may be worth monitoring the line as the week moves closer to gameday.
Tipico is also not expecting a very high-scoring game, with the point total set at 47.5. A 24-23 type game would be similar to the result of Penn State’s last home clash with Michigan in 2019 (28-21).
Penn State-Michigan odds from Tipico
- Penn State: -0.5 (-110)
- Michigan: +0.5 (-110)
- Penn State moneyline: -110
- Michigan moneyline: -100
- Over 47.5: -115
- Under 47.5: -105
Penn State is 4-1 at home this season, with their only loss coming in their last home game against Illinois three weeks ago. Penn State has been on the road the past two weeks with a loss at Ohio State and a victory at Maryland. Penn State has won three of the last four meetings with Michigan.
Michigan enters the week with a record of 8-1 with eyes set on a run to a Big Ten East Division championship. Michigan likely needs a win to remain in the running for a division championship as they are one game back of Ohio State in the division standings. Michigan State owns a head-to-head tiebreaker with Michigan, but both the Wolverines and Spartans still have to play Ohio State (and Penn State) before the end of the regular season.
Penn State and Michigan are set for a 12 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday, Nov. 13. The game will be seen on ABC.
