New Orleans Pelicans rookie Dyson Daniels is expected to miss some time due to a sprained right ankle, head coach Willie Green said on Wednesday.
Daniels suffered the injury in the second quarter on Tuesday in a loss to the Denver Nuggets. He appeared to step on the foot of a defender after a layup attempt. He immediately hit the ground in pain and eventually needed assistance back to the locker room.
The eighth pick later left the arena in a walking boot and crutches. He was ruled out of playing on Wednesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves and will not be available in the immediate future, according to Andrew Lopez of ESPN.
Dyson Daniels will be “out for a little bit of time” according to Willie Green with his right ankle sprain.
