The Badger head coach has his contract extended

During the UW Athletic Board meeting on Friday afternoon, the Badgers approved a contract extension for head football coach Paul Chryst.

Chryst’s five-year agreement was extended through January 31, 2027. In seven seasons as Wisconsin’s head coach, the Badger alum racked up a record of 65-23, and has gone 43-16 in Big Ten play during that time span. He has coached 21 players who have gone on to play in the NFL over those seven seasons.

Chryst has helped lead Wisconsin to three Big Ten West division crowns, the most recent of which came in 2019. He is a two-time Big Ten Coach of the Year (2016, 2017).
