Patriots-Bills resuming weekly preparations for Week 18 clash

As of now, the Patriots and Bills are still scheduled to play on Sunday.

Update: The New England Patriots have postponed media availability until Thursday. Practice will still be held on Wednesday, but players and coaches will not be speaking to the media that day.

In the face of a heartbreaking tragedy, the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills will try to resume the business of playing football in Sunday’s scheduled Week 18 clash.

The Bills announced they would be holding team meetings and a walkthrough on Wednesday, but there would be no media availability. Meanwhile, the Patriots will resume practice and media obligations ahead of another AFC East divisional matchup.

On Monday Night Football, Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest and collapsed on the field. That has obviously left the entire football community shaken up to the point where games and playoff seeding feel completely irrelevant.

Hamlin remains in critical condition and continues to fight for his life.

The NFL has postponed the game with the Cincinnati Bengals, but there’s no clear word on how they intend to make that game up and how it could potentially impact the Patriots.

It’s a fluid situation given the fact that the league is currently working in uncharted territory.
