Patriots WR N’Keal Harry ready to prove doubters wrong

New England Patriots wideout N’Keal Harry had a message for his critics on social media.

There is no doubt that the New England Patriots are going to be real underdogs at times in 2020 — much more than when they had Tom Brady at the helm. However, some Patriots players are beginning to embrace the role. Count second-year receiver to N’Keal Harry as one of those players determined to work hard.

Harry caught 12 receptions for 125 yards and two touchdowns in seven games last season. After suffering battling an ankle injury last season, he did not make his season debut until Week 8 against the Philadelphia Eagles.

He figures to play a big role for the Patriots offense in 2020. As long as health permits, he should be able to do so. Currently, New England has Harry, Julian Edelman, Mohamed Sanu and Jakobi Meyers, among others, on the depth chart.

It will be interesting to see if New England tries to address the wide receiver position in the draft next month. The Patriots certainly need depth at the position. As for now, it sounds like Harry is focused on making the most of his opportunities.

As Harry looks to build off a modest rookie campaign, one thing to watch for is how he adapts to a new-look New England team. There are going to be a lot of new faces and moving parts, as the organization moves forward into a new era. Harry should figure to be a major part of the equation moving forward, and he should have plenty of opportunities to avoid the dreaded sophomore slump.
