Back-to-back weeks of heartbreak has New England Patriots fans walking on eggshells ahead of Sunday’s matchup with the New York Jets.
The Patriots came within a Kayshon Boutte toe of being inbounds from keeping a potential game-winning drive alive against the Philadelphia Eagles. Then they came within an overturned first down call by the referees of potentially tying things up with the Miami Dolphins in Week 2 and sending that game into overtime.
Now, they’ll be facing a Jets team that they have defeated in the last 14 consecutive head-to-head meetings.
In this week’s episode of the Patriots Wire Podcast, Ryan O’Leary and I preview the Week 3 divisional matchup and discuss the state of the team after a 0-2 start to the season. We also delved into coach Bill Belichick’s controversial decision to bench rookie wide receiver Demario Douglas after a first quarter fumble.
