Patriots waive running back James Robinson

James Robinson is out already in New England

James Robinson didn’t make it to one play, or OTA as a New England Patriot.

The running back was waived by the AFC East team on Monday after failing to show up for the first day of mandatory minicamp.

Robinson had signed a two-year, $4 million contract as a free agent after finishing last season as a New York Jet.

Per ESPN.com:

The contract also included injury waivers and split salaries if Robinson landed on injured reserve. Robinson’s release came on the first day of mandatory minicamp, when players routinely take physical examinations.
