The New England Patriots are set to face two NFC opponents in joint practices ahead of their preseason matchups.
The Patriots announced they would head to Philadelphia on Aug. 16-17 for joint practices against the Eagles ahead of the Aug. 19 preseason game. It’s now confirmed the Patriots will host joint practices on Aug. 25-26 before they face the New York Giants on Aug. 29.
Giants head coach Joe Judge discussed the possibility of this in June.
“There’s some things that aren’t finalized completely for training camp,” Judge said, “but the thought process behind that is it’s an opportunity to get our team on the road for training camp, stay together. But also with the change in the preseason schedule, both organizations thought it’d be a good idea to be able to exchange a little bit year by year.”
Over the next eight days, @NFL rookies and veterans will be reporting for training camp.
