Patriots met with dual-threat defensive back in pre-draft visit

The Patriots reportedly met with cornerback and return specialist Isaiah Bolden on the last day of pre-draft visits.

The New England Patriots are meeting with Jackson State cornerback and return specialist Isaiah Bolden on Wednesday, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Bolden was an extremely productive player for Jackson State throughout the course of his career. He recorded 33 tackles and a fumble recovery last year for the Tigers. Bolden measures in at six-foot-two, 205 pounds.

He had a particularly successful pro day for Jackson State in March. He ran a hand-timed 4.31 40-yard dash. He was also able to record a 38-inch vertical jump as well.

Bolden would give New England the athletic safety they will be needing to have on the roster, following the departure of Devin McCourty. His speed and leaping ability would do wonders for a New England secondary that will be tested in 2023.
