Patriots lose RB Rex Burkhead, LT Isaiah Wynn in loss to Texans

Burkhead is likely done for the year with a torn ACL.

The Arizona Cardinals will face the New England Patriots next weekend on the road. The Cardinals themselves have had to deal with a number of injuries. The Pats, in a 27-20 loss to the Houston Texans, suffered injuries to two key offensive players.

RB Rex Burkhead suffered a knee injury in the game after having four rushing attempts.

It is believed to be a torn ACL and he will miss the rest of the season. He was on his way to a career season.

Running back Sony Michel is back off injured reserve but was not active for the Patriots’ game against the Texans.

In the fourth quarter, they also lost starting left tackle Isaiah Wynn. He left the game after a player rolled up on him. When they face the Cardinals, they might have to shuffle the starting offensive line.

The Patriots’ first injury report of the week will not come out until Wednesday.
